The post holder will be required to undertake a DBS check.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of working within a busy financial environment. The ideal candidate will be competent in the use of Excel, have excellent communication skills, be able to work to tight deadlines, be tactful and diplomatic, able to work on own initiative with limited supervision and be able to give attention to detail.

This post is based on the Child & Adults Team where the main duties include:-

  • Calculation and processing of a range of payments and income collections including, but not restricted to, Fostering Allowances, Direct Payments, Child Arrangement Orders, Special Guardianship Allowances, Adoption Allowances, Residential Homes, Leaving Care Allowances, Staying Put Allowances, Fairer Charging collections and Residential Home contributions and Telecare collections.
  • Assisting in the reconciliation and financial monitoring of various payments including direct payments.
  • Processing financial transactions including recharges, journals, budget amendments etc.
  • Assisting in the assessment of eligibility of carers to a range of means-tested allowances
