What will I be doing? You'll be our expert on all things data analysis.
We have around 5,600 properties to maintain, repair and improve - which means that we need to spend time figuring out what to do, when to do it, who needs to be involved and how to make our program of work fit together so we're as efficient as possible.
We can't do that unless we have our data in order - which is where you come in.
You'll be using your analytical mind (and MS Office skills) to interpret, analyse and extract relevant information from complex reports and translate these so they can be understood by a wide range of people.
This means that we'll able to get the right work done at the right time, which makes the world of difference to our tenants. After all, that's what we're to do - make sure that people have good homes that are well looked after. The type of homes they can be proud to live in.
Speaking of homes, you'll be able to spend the majority of time working from yours if that's what suits you best.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We're open on background, as long as you have relevant experience in data analysis and are a whizz on MS Excel.
You'll also need to be comfortable dealing with a range of people, as you'll need to work and liaise with a number of different internal teams and external agencies/partners.
We're proud to be here for the people of Somerset. And that means everyone in Somerset. An important part of this is ensuring that we are as diverse and inclusive as the people and communities we serve.
We welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences to enrich our team. You can always contact the hiring manager for a chat if there's anything you want to talk about before you apply.
What's in it for me? We are proud to offer an environment that is supportive and rewarding, working as part of a team who are passionate about the work they do to improve the lives of people in Somerset.
We offer great training and development opportunities, with supportive management. As well as this, we have some fantastic employee benefits available:
- We promote a healthy work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements wherever possible, including working from home.
- Generous annual leave allowance, with the opportunity to purchase additional leave
- Staff discounts in gyms.
- Employee Assistance for the times you may need some support and a variety of employee wellbeing services.
- Auto enrolment onto our generous Pension Scheme and optional pension enhancement through our Additional Voluntary Contribution scheme.
- A Flexible Benefits Scheme via salary sacrifice to obtain a cycle for work and health screenings.
- My Staff Shop offering discounts in shops, online shopping, restaurants, cinema tickets, insurance benefits and more...
