About the role

Northumberland college is a dynamic and forward-thinking educational institution dedicated to providing high-quality education and training. We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full-time programme leader (1 year fixed term) to provide maternity cover in the equine department. The equine department provides outstanding teaching, learning and assessment facilities and delivers on-going outstanding achievements for our learners.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our equine programmes at level 3 and above. Candidates ideally should possess a minimum of a Level 6 qualification in an industry specific subject, and a minimum of GCSE 4/Level 2 in Maths and English. The candidate should be a qualified teacher, ideally with vocational assessment qualifications. Experience and a qualification in internal quality assurance processes would be an advantage. Candidates should have previous experience of working with horses in industry settings and ideally hold both academic and vocational qualifications. Qualifications in coaching would be highly advantageous.
