The Safety Information Team is part of Integrated Management System team supports Group Operations Services and the company's three AOCs by managing SafetyNet, RiskNet, safety report distribution, detailed safety data analysis, safety systems development, and corporate safety meeting administration.
This involves gathering, processing, and analysing safety data to identify trends and potential risks, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of safety reports, and providing comprehensive safety data analytics to support informed decision-making. The team also oversees the maintenance and enhancement of safety databases, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
We are seeking a Safety Data Analyst to analyse, coordinate, and report on safety performance data within an automated safety reporting framework. You will work on various projects to develop data products, identify and implement new reporting and analytical techniques, and maintain high standards of internal customer service to ensure stakeholders have access to accurate and actionable safety data and insights.
What you need to do this role
We are looking for a recent graduate (or equivalent experience), preferably with a numerical or scientific degree. The ideal candidate is a creative and analytical problem solver, eager to advance and make a mark in the dynamic world of data and has a strong passion for aviation. You should be a motivated, organised, results-focused self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
A solid understanding of statistical methods such as averages, variances, and correlation is required. Experience with query languages, programming languages, and cloud computing (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Databricks) is necessary, as well as proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools like Tableau and Excel. Experience in the aviation industry or aviation safety and risk management is a plus but not required.

Location & Hours of Work This is a full-time 40 hour per week position. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office in Luton.
