Job Responsibility:
Job Title: Assistant Data Controller
Location: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Trust Location: St Francis Building, City Hospital, Nottingham, NG5 1PB
What you'll be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Data Control Manager in maintaining a key link between the data management team and category managers by ensuring that:
Ø Querying the various finance and procurement systems within the Trust to provide accurate and timely reports on the procurement and financial activity to support the requirements of the Procurement Department.
Ø Support the Procurement Team with the addition of new contracts to the catalogue system as delegated by the Data Control Manager.
Ø Ensure that expired catalogues are removed from the catalogue database or updated as appropriate.
2. Taking action in relation to the Contract database to ensure that it:
Ø Is updated following the award of contracts
Ø Is up to date in relation to contract values
3. Working with both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Gaining competitive advantage for NUH by working to best practice to enable leverage of the Trust spend.
5. Engaging with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to provide information to support their procurement requirements.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
· Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
· Communications skills- both verbal and written
· Excellent telephone manner
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload
· Previous administrative experience
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
