Join us as a Finance Data Manager
- We're looking for someone to support the management and quality of Risk and Finance data through establishing and enhancing appropriate data solutions
- You'll be implementing and supporting programmes of work to strategically improve data management, control, quality and reporting, and initiating and executing tactical data remediation
- It's an opportunity to gain valuable exposure for you and your work, as you'll contribute to complex data driven solutions which support changing business demand and deliver the best outcome for the customer
What you'll do
As a Finance Data Manager, you'll be helping to improve Risk & Finance Data Product (RFDP) capability, to enable accurate and complete data being provided to our businesses, and to external stakeholders.
You'll also be ensuring a robust AWS data platform control framework is established that is compliant with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Additionally, you'll be:
Providing assurance on Risk and Finance data to enable sign-off of internal returns and external disclosures
Providing a high-quality Risk and Finance data service to Risk and Finance functions that includes explanations, investigations, guidance and data quality MI
Maintaining the logic between RFDP and data marts with tightly controlled ownership of the AWS data transformation rule
Providing advice to customers across Risk and Finance functions on how to use data within RFDP
Defining and monitoring the data quality check and maintaining a control framework for the RFDP
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong analytical and accounting background, ideally from a data driven environment. You'll also have an understanding of Risk and Finance systems and use your analytical skills and understanding of data and tools to provide effective solutions to complex problems.
Additionally, we'll expect you to have the ability to work to tight deadlines, work flexibly and adapt well to changes in priorities.
We'll also expect you to have:
- Experience in accounting and analytics
- Knowledge of the bank's key Risk and Finance systems and data
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with good attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills, appropriate for all levels of the bank, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
