Job Responsibility:

The Trust is currently working to enable the service to be clinically driven and led by the new MSE Pathology Group model supported with an effective management structure and clear lines of governance accountable for timely delivery of high quality, safe and cost effective pathology service all in line with the recommendation made by Lord Carter. Haematology is the main clinical specialty within Pathology. There are clinically driven plans for subspecialisation in haematology with an aim to strive for excellence in malignant and non-malignant haematology service delivery across MSE. The transformation investment will enable, amongst others: Promote local improvement and performance Remove unwarranted variation of services Drive Quality and Governance throughout to improve patient experience and outcomes. The post holder will contribute to effective communication and involvement of staff across the CSU including support to the service manager and Head of Nursing to achieve his objectives.
