Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Are you an innovative Assistant Headteachercommitted to improving the lives of pupils and young people?

We are looking for a Headteacher for our New Options School in Stratford St Mary, Suffolk. The school will have capacity for 25 pupils and is due to open in Easter 2025.

Our New Options School will cater for pupils who have ASC and Complex Needs.

Are you a passionate, dedicated and motivated Assistant Headteacher. As Assistant Headteacher you will support our Headteacher in school management, delivering our pupils educational needs, maximising pupil's achievement, and their ability to develop.

Our new Options School will be a day school catering for pupils aged 5 to 11 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. We provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment where our young people learn to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive decisions and display pro-social behaviour. We are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum. Our priority is to develop the foundation knowledge and skills required to make a manageable and smooth transition to the next life stage.

About the role

Are you a passionate, dedicated and motivated Assistant Headteacher. As Assistant Headteacher you will support our Headteacher in school management, delivering our pupils educational needs, maximising pupil's achievement, and their ability to develop.

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher who is looking for the chance to bring innovation and creativity to inspire learning in an SEN environment for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be the custodian of our strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

In partnership with our Headteacher, you will deliver clear, authentic leadership to our multidisciplinary team, establishing school aims and objectives, ensuring high levels of quality and compliance and working collaboratively to develop appropriate, individualised programmes of learning for our pupils.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Assistant Headteacher, with the experience, leadership skills and vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Educated to degree level or equivalent with Qualified Teacher Status, you will be experienced in an SEN environment, enjoy leading a team, and be genuinely motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

Qualification requirements: QTS or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills and Nationally recognised degree. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.
