About The Role

We are looking for Pre-enablement Technicians to be part of our Consumer Pre-enablement team in Central London.

What will you be doing?

To our customers you'll be the face of Avonline enabling an ultrafast broadband capability that is fit for the future.

Working as part of a two-person team in a local area, you will install, repair and test fibre cables from the Virgin Media network up to customer properties. The job is working on the external network so you will be trained in multiple skillsets to complete this work.

You will be provided with all the necessary training and equipment in order to become a fully-fledged pre-enablement technician. No two days are the same, which means you'll always be learning and developing new skills. We will do all we can to help you achieve your potential in a supportive and rewarding environment.

What will your key responsibilities be?

What skills are we looking for?

You must have:

  • Very good communication and or customer service skills
  • A valid clean UK driving licence (no more than 6 points, with no disqualifications required for fleet van insurance)

We'd like you to have (not essential) :

  • Creative ways of thinking to overcome problems and suggest better ways of working
  • Experience of working with power tools where necessary
  • Experience working in cable laying or similar manual environments
  • NRSWA Accredited or knowledge of Signing, Lighting and Guarding requirements
