Purpose of the role

This is an interesting and varied role, with the following key responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate the council’s response to the Climate Change agenda, internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaboration, such at local and regional levels, with partners and the wider community on climate change activity to ensure it remains relevant and informs policy. Identify and secure funding to support the council’s climate change ambitions and utilise external assessment opportunities for the continued monitoring of carbon emissions to inform the implementation of the climate change strategy.
