Location of Role: Ashford Advert Closing Date: 23/07/2024 Starting Salary:£23,646.00 (pro-rata for part-time vacancies) Part/Full Time: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Mon-Fri Weekend/Evening Working: No The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Kent is seeking someone experienced in customer services to be an effective and efficient receptionist / administrator for Compass House and to support the Commissioning Team within the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner. Compass House is a hub for victim services in Kent and provides a base and support rooms for services which support victims of crime. The Commissioning Team are responsible for Compass House and oversee crucial services aimed at reducing crime, supporting community safety and helping victims and witnesses across the County. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wishes to deliver a first-class front of house service as a receptionist, whilst also providing administrative support in a dynamic environment that helps individuals impacted by crime. This is a permanent position based at Compass House, Ashford. Flexible working and job share options will be considered. You should have experience in providing efficient receptionist and administrative support across a range of workstreams. A customer care focus is required as you will be the first point of contact for those accessing Compass House. Excellent communication skills are a must, with a calm and empathetic approach. You must have willingness to learn and experience in managing competing workstreams and be able to prioritise appropriate action, alongside the ability to collect and disseminate information accurately. The post holder must possess good communication and organisational skills and be able to take control of a wide variety of situations and deal with people in a sensitive and discreet manner. A good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics or experience to this standard are essential. The post holder must have good IT skills, be familiar with using a range of IT packages including Word, Excel, and E-Mail. Ideally you will also understand policing and the criminal justice system plus the delivery of support services. The role is currently subject to review and the starting salary is £23,646. Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £26,958.00.
