Job Description JOB TITLE: Distribution Optimisation Senior Manager SALARY: £73,262 + DOE LOCATION: Remote HOURS: Full-time About this opportunity: In November last year, we shared our refreshed strategy and vision for Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) - to become a customer centric and digital first business in order to be a Top 3 provider in the intermediated pensions and protection markets. Following the acquisition of Embark in 2022, Scottish Widows have improved our proposition and streamlined our technology to allow us to be easier to work with and promote better customer outcomes. As we move from transformation to growth, we're investing in the capabilities in our Distribution function, to grow our market leading team. These capabilities allow us to build and develop truly strategic relationships with advisers and partners, delivering this transformation to the market. A new role has been crafted for a Distribution Optimisation Senior Manager. Playing an integral part in our strategy, you'll be accountable for a new capability focussing on driving an efficient high performance Distribution team. This function will play a pivotal role in ensuring distribution have a scalable and efficient operating model. As change is delivered for our advisers, it is essential that the Distribution function is equipped with the adequate readiness to deliver this optimally to our customers, including training and communications. We have recently developed a Sales Excellence Framework, which requires ongoing maintenance to keep our capability at market leading levels. Operating safely is also a fundamental pillar to our principles, ensuring we mitigate risks to performance, including coordinating sales governance and control execution which sits within Distribution optimisation. Within the role, you'll drive our profitable performance, including identifying improvement opportunities, risks and trends. As we develop new central initiatives to drive Distribution trading your insight will be required to forecast impact of actions on trading results. This includes delivery of a strategic pricing model that can be taken to market. You'll also get to influence our pricing strategy, propositional priorities, segment strategy and recommend actions based on market/competitor movements. There will be significant opportunity to support the wider senior leadership team, from writing board papers to recommendations on commercials for key distribution accounts including individual pricing, campaigns and activities, based on your growing knowledge of the business. Key Accountabilities:
  • Evolving the distribution operating model to drive efficiency and continuously optimise.
  • Driving the voice of Distribution and the adviser into propositions, operations and other functions including the waterfront teams.
  • Crafting a robust framework and ongoing monitoring of efficiency of trading activity.
  • Defining and coordinating readiness activity to ensure we're improving opportunities through change and BAU activity. This includes internal communications and engagement.
  • Delivery of a strategic pricing model that can be taken to market.
  • Collaboration with People team to maintain and develop T&C scheme as well as ongoing execution of the sales excellence programme.
  • Ensuring we mitigate risks to performance, including coordinating adviser due diligence and compliance with consumer duty.
  • The role will lead a team of 7, with all individuals reporting into you.
