Job Responsibility:
Overall Purpose of the Job
The Regional QHSE Trainer is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of QHSE learning, workplace training and development of staff
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Act as a QHSE instructor and trainer by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of subject matter and displaying an ability to communicate concepts clearly, build skills and connect subject matter with related knowledge areas
- Actively engage employees with diverse styles and cultures in a positive, energetic, and professional manner to ensure meaningful learning and effective transfer of knowledge and skills to daily work
- Work with L&D Manager, Region QHSE Manager, Group QHSE and subject matter experts to:
- Develop, continuously improve, and implement blended learning solutions, including instructor led classroom learning, online e-learning, workplace training that satisfy client requirements and meet business demand and ensure that appropriate and updated learning content is used
- Design, develop and deliver QHSE packages by applying specialist QHSE and industry specific knowledge
- Provide input in review and updating of QHSE procedures, processes and training material as necessary
- Prepares for, facilitates, and evaluates learning courses
- Report regularly to management on QHSE training delivery progress
- Work with Management to identify training needs of employees and continuous improvement of the training program, within agreed Region/Group training guidelines
- Where required, coordinate scheduling of training programs and instructor activities and arrange materials to be available
- Evaluate training programs and participate in continuous improvement of training material; conduct assessment of course objectives against employee performance
- Uses standardized metrics and assessments, evaluates student learning fairly and consistently, provides learners with constructive feedback, and learns to evaluate the learning effectiveness
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Extensive experience working in QHSE
- Strong training, instructional and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in teaching or training is highly beneficial
- Fluent in English - advantageous if other languages are spoken (French & Portuguese)
- Willingness to travel as required
