You will be responsible for the successful recoup of provider overcharges and the implementation of prospective screening (via change orders) to prevent further overcharging, the Retrospective Payments Associate will work as a team to safeguard the integrity of c£1.2bn of benefit spend each year.
Working as a member of the Healthcare Payments team, you will have a relentless focus on Payment Integrity, ensuring we only pay what we should first time, every time.
You'll help us make health happen through:
- All recoups are investigated to verify they comply with Bupa's products, policies and contractual agreements and processed in line with procedures appropriate to the original claim (e.g. high cost, high risk or specially handled)
- You work with the wider Healthcare Payments Team (e.g. Change Order Team, Process Improvements, Coding & Rules) and the wider UK Customer functions to ensure future invoices are validated prospectively where possible, avoiding recoups and increasing automation
- You validate front end compliance savings applied by the prospective claims team / Genpact and provide a support mechanism / feedback to both
- You communicate decisions clearly to both the Provider Management Team and providers, both proactively and reactively
- You own and manage all valid recoups by raising and performing adjustments and ensure all decisions are appropriate and clearly evidenced in the relevant systems
