Role Description

About the role

This is an exciting career move that will allow you to assist with components of high-end residential projects in the UK and abroad to support the design direction of the Project Leader. You will have a positive and professional attitude at all times towards clients, suppliers and the wider design team.

You will have a meticulous eye for design and detail, evident in your well put together portfolio and the ability to assist others with documenting. Using AutoCAD is an advantage but not essential as further training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with concept designs with Senior Interior Designers, Associate and/or Design Directors

• Assist with spatial planning and schematic design schemes (RIBA Stage 2)

• Assist in preparing design development presentations and documentation (RIBA Stage 3)

• Assist in preparing tender documentation packages including drawings, details, schedules and specifications (RIBA Stage 4)

• Assist in liaising with the wider design team including engineering services, specialist sub consultants and suppliers as required

• Assist in liaising with clients, taking meeting minutes and any project related filing (i.e., project correspondence and drawing files)

About you

You will have previous experience of working within a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You will have experience in the design and construction of interior design and FF&E projects, ideally in high-end residential and/ or hospitality sectors.

You will be able to demonstrate

• 1-3 years' experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design and/or Architecture industry

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture

• You must be capable of producing work packages to RIBA Stage 3

• High End Residential or Hospitality experience highly regarded

• Demonstrate exceptional skills in contributing to concept design and design development stages

• Good technical knowledge and ability to develop architectural and joinery concept details, taking the design through detailed development to documentation with the assistance of a Senior Interior Designer, Associate and/or Design Director
• Ability to deal with suppliers, consultants and the wider design team; assistance provided from others if required.

• Good understanding of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop; SketchUp and 3D Studio Max an advantage

• Good understanding of suppliers, materials, fabrics, sanitaryware, lighting and hardware specifications
