Job Responsibility:

So how would you feel about joining a Gibraltar-based building services consultancy as their new Fire Engineer? Established in 2005, the company provides comprehensive mechanical & electrical design and project management services and has an expert team of 11 with an enviable portfolio - including commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, government, transportation, education, healthcare, leisure and sports projects. Their order book remains very strong and they are looking to recruit a Fire Engineer, who would mainly focus on the preparation of fire strategy reports but will also have ample opportunity to gain further experience and develop more skills within the fire engineering field. Your key duties will include:

• Occupancy loads and evacuation provisions
• Firefighting access and provisions
• Fire safety system requirements and features
• Liaising with project architects and the fire service local authority
• Fire Safety Design Review
• Specification of Fire Protection Systems
• Prepare Fire Safety Management Plan
• Help get the necessary certificates to show that the building meets fire safety standards

In return, you will receive a salary of £25-32k (depending on experience), relocation support if applicable, excellent training and progression opportunities and regular social events. No doubt you will also enjoy at least 12 Bank Holidays a year on top your holiday allowance! You can be successful if you have:

• knowledge/experience of preparing Fire Strategy Reports
• relevant degree level qualification (fire engineering / fire safety engineering or similar)
• knowledge with the relevant British Standards and regulations
• fluency in English with strong report writing skills
• if you also speak Spanish that would be a bonus
