The School of Engineering seeks to appoint a Graduate School Administrator. This position will report to the Graduate School Office Supervisor within the Graduate School Office at the University of Edinburgh.
The Opportunity:
The post holder will provide support for the day-to-day running of postgraduate research programmes in the School of Engineering. One of a team of five, the successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and IT skills. They will enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being an active team member.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A good standard of education with relevant experience in the higher education sector.
- Excellent IT skills as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email.
- Excellent administrative skills with an emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral as well as the ability to deal sensitively with people on all levels within an organisation.
- Well-developed planning and organisation skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload.
