JOB DESCRIPTION

Duty Manager

Responsible to:

Club Manager

Responsible for:

Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the gym, support with pool plant management, provide excellent customer service to members, assist with membership administration, leadership and motivation of the team, customer care, membership sales.

Must be able to teach classes.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR JOB

1 year working in a supervisory role within a gym

SPECIFIC TRAINING: (Certificates etc.)

Pool Responder (training can be provided)

Fitness Instructor level 2

Pool Plant Operator (desirable)

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Strong organisational skills, excellent customer service, problem solving, time management, teamwork, understanding of H&S

EXPERIENCE:

At least 1 year working in a gym environment or leisure facility, with some administrative responsibility at supervisor level

KEY OBJECTIVES

1. To carry out the role of Duty Manager.

2. To ensure presentation and cleanliness of the facilities.

3. Ensuring that high levels of customer service and adopted at all times.

K.O.1

a) To supervise and motivate all fitness facility customers.

b) Maintain a high level of knowledge, keeping abreast of new trends within the industry.

c) To perform any other duties as directed by Management.

d) Contribute to programming and general operation of the facilities through ideas and support.

e) To teach classes, carry out inductions and oversee the member journey.

K.O.2

a) To oversee all cleaning schedules with records kept up to date.

b) Ensuring maintenance checks are done and records kept up to date in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.

K.O.3

a) Ensure that correct uniform is worn at all times along with sir name badges.

b) To maintain the safety and well being of customers using the facilities.

c) Maintain a clean and safe environment.

d) Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation and professional advice offered to customers using the fitness facilities.

e) Complete all motivational calls and to ensure the delivery of the member journey.
