The Children's Commissioning Sufficiency Lead is a key post that will lead the strategic and operational work to eliminate profit from children's social care in Bridgend, developing policy, services and informing practice to effectively implement Welsh Government policy, safeguarding and improving outcomes for children, rebalancing the market for care and support including leading the development of more Council services and playing a leading role in regional and national work. In addition, the post will provide direct and professional leadership and general management to Children's Commissioning Officers to ensure all aspects of children's commissioning activity is undertaken effectively. The post holder will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the placements team to ensure that services are delivered to a high standard meeting relevant legislative requirements and adhering to statutory guidance.
