Job Responsibility:
Location: Frilford, Oxfordshire
Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Salary:£34,000/annum pro rata
Mumby's Live-in Care, a family-run care business with almost two decades of experience, is searching for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts/Sales Ledger Assistant to join our team and ensure the smooth and accurate management of our accounts.
Job Overview: The Accounts/Sales Ledger Assistant will coordinate the company's accounts, manage books and records, and liaise with customers, suppliers, inland revenue, the company accountant, and other regulatory bodies. Reporting to the Accounts Manager and the CEO, the successful candidate will also cover payroll during holidays (training provided, but payroll experience is a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger:
· Raise sales invoices from the system and upload them to the Xero accounting system.
· Distribute invoices according to client instructions.
· Receive cheque payments and arrange banking.
· Upload BACS receipts to Xero and allocate to the correct client account.
· Reconcile customer accounts as needed.
· Send statements to customers and chase unpaid invoices.
· Handle sales invoicing for Mumby's Introductory Ltd.
· Maintain organized files of all documents for future reference.
Petty Cash:
· Maintain and reconcile petty cash, replenish as required.
· Update the Petty Cash spreadsheet and post to Xero.
· Keep organized files of all documents for future reference.
Bank Accounts:
· Download daily bank accounts to Xero, post receipts and payments, and code any that are not on Customer or Supplier accounts.
· Liaise with the accountant for coding queries or corrections.
· Check bank reconciliation between bank statements and Xero.
· Keep organized files of all documents for future reference.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in an accounts role.
· Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
· Flexible attitude to cover payroll during holidays.
· Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with payroll processing.
