The Opportunity

As a highly-respected Engineering, Procurement and Construction leader, success at Black & Veatch is driven by our people! As the Talent Acquisition Lead for the EMEA region, you will perform a critical role in identifying, engaging and attracting top talent to our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting B&V's talent growth strategy in the EMEA region for a variety of BV's business lines. In collaboration with hiring managers, business leaders, and your local and global Talent Acquisition team members, you will devise and execute plans to support critical hiring needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with members of the senior leadership team, management and candidates in order to identify and attract talent
  • With the support of the Recruiters and TA Leader, this position is responsible for developing effective recruiting strategies for multiple departments/business lines
  • Willingness and drive to create the best candidate experience paired with an understanding of respective business strategies and local country specifics
  • Guide, motivate and mentor the team to achieve desired results.
  • This is a highly visible position that requires the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with hiring managers often located in different offices within Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  • Identify, source, recruit and screen highly qualified candidates. Participates in full cycle recruiting including:
    • research, requisition management, sourcing, cold calling, offer negations and closing
  • Has regular communication with potential candidates and passive candidates in order to build a pipeline of top talent
  • Maintains all recruiting data and reporting metrics with a high level of confidentiality
  • Collaborate with external headhunters and staffing agencies to bring in right talent in a timely manner
  • Use databases (internal/external) and social media to source and recruit potential candidates
  • Onboard new staff by introducing them to the company and guiding them through the processes/systems.
  • Solid tech and industry knowledge with ability to understand relevant tech skills, target companies etc.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and sell the organization culture and business initiatives to candidates.
  • Direct Sourcing & Recruiting experience in similar industry would be preferred. Ideally inhouse recruiting experience gained from a corporate engineering/construction business.
  • Hands-on experience with recruitment software, Social Media recruiting and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to fully utilize an applicant tracking systems/CRMs - SuccessFactors (ATS) or any other similar ATS experience would be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior recruiting experience, including team lead experience
  • Demonstrated internal stakeholder management experience
  • Prior recruiting experience in Engineering and Construction Industry, preferably in a team oriented and international environment as well as experience in developing a strong talent pipeline
  • Knowledge and experience with various candidate sourcing tools - Google/LinkedIn/Boolean, etc - highly preferred.
  • Relevant university degree or comparable qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences or equivalent
  • Professional communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR practices and local labor legislation
  • Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems and Candidate Relationship Management Systems

  • criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Office based. Extensive sitting, screen time and keyboarding activities. Travel to other offices may be required depending on business need.
