Fleet Project Engineer
Join easyJet as a Fleet Technical Project Engineer, reporting to the Fleet Technical Project Leader. In this cross-functional role, you will integrate with Fleet Technical Management, working within company policy, technical procedures, and project guidelines. You'll establish relationships with Fleet Engineers, the Project Management Office, and key areas like Airframe, Avionics, Cabin Systems, and Components. You'll also liaise with system/equipment manufacturers and other internal business areas to ensure project coordination. Ideal candidates will have technical acumen, some project experience, and the ability to balance operational, strategic, and commercial needs. Your responsibilities will include improving airworthiness, safety, and reliability, leveraging data and technology, and ensuring compliance with EASA Part-CAMO for Continuous Airworthiness.
What you'll be doing:
You will ensure the safe, cost-effective, and efficient operation of aircraft and systems in the easyJet fleet. Supporting projects within the Engineering Department, operations, and liaise with other business areas, quickly establishing cross-functional relationships and working with key stakeholders. Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, and coordinate regular project meetings. Developing processes and procedures for the technical operation of easyJet's fleet. Communicating project progress, challenges, and decisions, whilst taking ownership of project task delivery, and ensuring liaison with equipment manufacturers and regulatory authorities. Possess good knowledge of Airworthiness directives, Service bulletins, Aircraft modifications, technical records systems, and Airbus aircraft delivery processes. Controlling and presenting the effectiveness of modifications, manage Aircraft Configuration, and review CAMO procedures. Collaborate with the Project Leader, other departments, and OEM/vendors to improve Cabin Air Quality, considering financial implications. Carry out additional work as requested by the Fleet Technical Project Leader.
What you'll need to do the role:
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised degree in Aircraft/Aerospace Engineering, with post-graduate experience in project management and/or engineering. They should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in delivering presentations. A solid understanding of EASA Part M/Part CAMO functions and competence in Airworthiness regulations and legislation is essential. Experience in working on collaborative projects with defined timelines and milestones is required, along with the ability to analyse data and interpret technical documents. Familiarity with AMOS or a similar MRO system is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a flexible, adaptable approach to change are key attributes.

This full-time role will be based inHangar 89, Luton Airportand will be 40hours per week.
