Housing Options Support are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer who will be required to work independently and as part of a team.

The role will include a wide range of administrative tasks:

  • Record keeping,
  • Managing incoming calls,
  • Arranging temporary accommodation for housing options customers,
  • Attending meetings and minute taking.
  • Procurement, creating and inputting service spreadsheets will also be required.
  • Managing filing systems,
  • Processing invoices
  • Setting up rent accounts
  • Taking financial payments

Skills required

We are looking for someone who is a good team player who is proactive and can keep a level head in a very busy service, an individual who can work on their own initiative and as part of a small team.

Fantastic communication skills and excellent organisation skills are essential and a high level of IT competency in using Word and Excel are required.

Location

During the training period you will be required to work in the office (Civic Centre Harrogate) 5 days a week Monday to Friday. Once training is complete you will be required to be able to do hybrid working.
