Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our People Team. As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience by managing HR processes, supporting talent management initiatives, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will work closely with HR, leadership, and employees to drive operational efficiency, improve engagement, and maintain compliance with company policies and labour laws. This position is essential to ensuring a positive workforce experience and fostering a culture that promotes employee engagement and development.

We are open to consider applicants wishing to work a 4 day week or 28 hours a week over 5 days.

Responsibilities:

System Management:

  • Maintain and enhance the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
  • Generate reports and analyse HR metrics to inform management decisions.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of HR technology solutions to streamline operations.

Employee Relations (ER):

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate employee disputes to promote a positive work environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and programs.
  • Responsibility for guiding managers through processes.

People Operations & Employee Experience

  • Oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal transitions.
  • Manage employee records, benefits administration, and compliance documentation.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to Policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and feedback cycles.

Talent & Culture Support

  • Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and DEI efforts.
  • Assist in planning and executing company events, training, and team-building activities.

Process Improvement & Analytics

  • Identify opportunities to optimize People processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize HR/ People data to generate insights, track key people metrics, and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years plus) in a similar HR role, with a focus on people operations, talent, and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS software, ideally BambooHR and Microsoft Office Suite with excellent Excel skills. Experience in Automation is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Detail-oriented, highly process orientated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A HR certification (e.g., CIPD) is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with labour laws and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company or tech environment.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement, diversity & inclusion initiatives.
