Job Responsibility:

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour.

Shifts: Day/Night shifts: 07:30 - 20:00 & 19:30 - 08:00 on a rota basis with weekends included.

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit male workers for this particular role.

Our Healthcare Division offers a variety of services including Mental Health, Addictions, Brain Injury and Rehabilitation and Recovery treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies
  • Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, providing meals and toileting
  • Escorting patients out into the community (for example to the shops or on a visit to a new placement)
  • Manage some behaviours that challenge
  • Assistant and support patients to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
  • Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
  • Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks
  • Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
  • Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
  • Analyse an individual's needs and draw up a focused support plan
  • Completing a daily handover
  • Singing out keys and alarms

Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham city centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne provides a diverse range of inpatient services. We offer acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) support for adults, as well as a specialist inpatient eating disorder service for adults. Our dedicated multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) deliver personalised treatment programmes to everyone we support.
