The Senior Business Development & Apprenticeship Advisor is responsible for ensuring an excellent apprentice and employer experience and that the University delivers against its education strategies. The post holder will support the Business Relationship and Development Manager in establishing strong relationships with employers and ensuring the team of Apprenticeship Advisors are appropriately trained to recruit, support and review new apprentices. The Senior Business Development & Apprenticeship Advisor will promote higher and degree apprenticeships and other training opportunities to employers in multi-industry sectors. The role holder will also provide support to senior managers within the Digital and Lifelong Learning Team.
As Senior Business Development & Apprenticeships Advisor you can expect to be involved in:
- maintaining existing business partnerships, providing regular feedback to apprenticeship employers on learner progress and exploring new opportunities;
- line managing a team of Apprenticeship Advisors, including monitoring performance, work allocation and skills development;
- managing the apprentice enrolment and induction process including conducting due diligence checks and induction meetings between the University and the employer and the apprentice.
What will you bring to the role?
- a first degree or equivalent experience of working in similar role within higher education;
- experience of apprentice-facing work or a similar environment, with an understanding of the challenges of learning and engaging with academic staff from a distance;
- excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal professionally, responsively and effectively with customers and colleagues.
