Job Responsibility:

Deliver evidence based patient care and participate in clinical audit as part of the Perioperative team. Initiate improvements in care delivery in consultation with Team Manager and multidisciplinary team. Identify and communicate changes in planned care to Theatre Coordinator/Team Manager where appropriate. Supervise the staff within the allocated team acknowledging when to give support. Ensure written records are accurate and legible, enter data into theatre IT system, taking action in situations where the quality of the data may be affected. Supervise staff using the IT system. Work within NMC/HCPC codes of conduct and within professional guidelines. Work is managed not supervised and the post holder will work independently after appropriate in-service training. Take responsibility for delegated tasks including maintaining stock levels of specialist items associated with clinical area. Act as an effective role model. Take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of staff within allocated area, organise effective use of staff time for efficient care delivery. Follow the Trusts Health and Safety Policy to provide a safe environment for patients, carers, their families and staff. Report any faults or concerns with equipment or services, withdrawing equipment from use if necessary and ensuring repair if appropriate. Ensure all data collection and processing undertaken is consistently accurate and timely and complies with the Trust Data Quality Policy and local procedures. Undertake MPAs.
