Job Responsibility:

Job Purpose

To work within the Defence team assisting and providing general support to the fee earners, who deal with all aspects of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage diaries and diarise actions
  • Generating standard system driven letters
  • To provide general help and assistance with all aspects of litigated and non - litigated personal injury claims and/or technical nature
  • To assist with matters such as (but not exclusively), preparing Trial bundles, preparing witness statements, obtaining and reviewing evidence (medical or otherwise) obtaining and collating medical records, instructing Counsel, preparing court proceedings
  • Composing letters to clients/customers
  • Maintain pro-active communication with clients and external agencies relating to claims
  • Observing and maintaining firm confidentiality in relation to all correspondence and communications
  • Effective prioritisation of tasks whilst managing a full workload
  • Answer and make telephone calls
  • Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols

Experience & Knowledge

  • Good telephone manner
  • Working knowledge of outlook, MS Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer focussed
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • An ability to work using own initiative within boundaries, as well as in a team, to achieve maximum results
