Job Responsibility:
Job Purpose:
The Microbiology Quality Control Analyst is responsible for supporting microbiology activities within the Dendron Brands Quality Control Laboratory. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and expectations from key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and potential external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing, including water testing and product testing, following pharmacopeial and in-house methods.
- Generate reports and trend analysis for environmental monitoring (EM) and water testing results.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, laboratory disinfection, and temperature monitoring for microbiology equipment.
- Perform detailed bacteriological identification testing and risk assessment.
- Maintain microbiology stock, including consumables, media, and microorganisms.
- Conduct media sterilization, equipment sterilization, and waste disposal using autoclave techniques.
- Perform daily calibration of microbiology equipment.
- Test cleaning validation samples and report results.
- Register samples and enter results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Maintain records for external challenge test samples.
- Raise and manage quality events using the TRACKWISE system.
- Review and update work instructions to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field.
- Proven laboratory experience with a focus on microbiological testing.
- Strong understanding of MHRA, FDA regulations, and GMP practices.
- Proficiency in microscopy and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Ability to conduct scientific research and analyse data effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
