Job Description :

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Garden Centre Assistant to join our busy garden centre team. This is a hands on role where you will closely with the the owner, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of running a thriving garden centre.

An advantage is some knowledge of different plants.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the garden centre
• Providing excellent customer service and helping customers with queries
• Handling, watering, and maintaining plants to ensure they are in the best condition
• Unloading deliveries and restocking plants, gardening products, and other items
• Keeping the garden centre clean, tidy, and well-organised
• Assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed
• Working as part of a team but also using your initiative to complete tasks independently

Requirements

• A genuine interest in plants, gardening, and outdoor work
• Willingness to start early mornings and work flexible hours, including weekends
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
• No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn is essential
