The Squire Law Library, which shares the David Williams Building with the Faculty of Law, is one of the largest academic law libraries in the United Kingdom, and supports the teaching and research activities of the students and researchers associated with the Faculty. The Squire is one of the libraries within Humanities and Social Sciences, part of a wider group that forms Cambridge University Libraries.
This specialist role is responsible for the development of the Eminent Scholars Archive (ESA), a unique digital and oral archive that documents the careers and achievements of eminent scholars associated with the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge. The archive comprises biographies, bibliographies, photographs, recorded interviews and other resources. The role-holder will develop, manage and promote the content of the Eminent Scholars Archive. The role-holder will achieve this by researching the careers and academic work of individuals before conducting recorded interviews with them so as to capture the history, and the academic and institutional memory, of the Faculty and the people associated with it.

Candidates should have expertise in law at PhD level, be familiar with legal research and have the ability to compile biographical and bibliographical data.
