Our portfolio of properties is situated across various London areas and comprises nightly paid annexes, bed and breakfast hotels and a small stock of leased accommodation.

What You'll Be Doing / How You'll Be Involved

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contract Monitoring Officerto join our multi-agency team. The main objective for the post holder is to provide contract monitoring and administration duties which support temporary accommodation procurement processes. The successful candidate will undertake related functions that ensure compliance by managing agents and other partnering landlords when procuring accommodation. This includes executing a range of property management and maintenance services to both property suppliers and homeless households. Additionally you'll provide a customer-focused administration service to housing suppliers of temporary accommodation; ensure property offers are clearly described, priced accurately in accordance with the Pan London Rates schedule.

To be consider for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is educated to A Level, NVQ Level or equivalent. You will have previous demonstrable experience managing a busy housing team or in a property management environment.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised self-starter who possesses previous experience undertaking inspections to residential properties in either social housing or private practice setting. The successful candidate will have a broad technical knowledge in fault finding and diagnosing common building and services defects, experience of identifying damp (penetrative and condensation) as well as experience of specifying corrective work schedules. You will be an excellent communicator who holds a wealth of legislation knowledge pertaining to managing agents and landlords' obligations and requirements in respect of residential dwellings.

Additionally you'll have an understanding of the Council's Housing Allocations Scheme as well as a good working knowledge of temporary accommodation provision and an awareness of property related Health and Safety compliance information.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to compile briefings and reports.
