We are looking for an additional gardener to join our team.

The ideal candidate should possess a current driver’s license and have access to their own transport.

A flexible, can-do attitude, along with diligence and a strong work ethic, is essential. The ability to work independently using initiative is key.

While experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, as guidance and mentoring will be provided. A genuine passion for gardens and gardening is a prerequisite for this role.

Candidates should have their own hand tools, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. They should have a driving licence and access to their own car.

Reliability – applicants must be reliable and be able to turn up to work promptly.

Trustworthy – applicants must be trustworthy and ensure they take accurate records of the hours they work.

Communication: Applicants must have access to a phone or camera so that they can take digital photographs of the gardens they work in beforehand and also afterwards and be able to send these digital images to Thyme in the Garden at the end of each working day.

The role is part-time on a freelance basis.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain plants, flowers, and shrubs, on behalf of our clients to ensuring optimal growth and health.
• Define border edges,
• Collect leaf litter from borders
• Utilize hand tools for planting, pruning, and landscape maintenance.
• Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of gardens and landscapes.
• Conduct regular groundskeeping tasks, including weeding leaf and debris removal.
• Drive to client locations as needed, maintaining effective communication in English to understand client needs and preferences.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £13.84-£14.44 per hour
