16 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

£13,242.36 - £15,233.11 (FTE 37,732.05 - 43,404.38)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Grace Garden School across both our sites as part of the committed Therapy team. The purpose of the role is to work with specific pupils based on assessments of their support and developmental needs, using rhythmical massage in order to build therapeutic relationships which positively affect their physical, mental and spiritual health.

Main Duties:

· Deliver therapeutic sessions to individuals or small groups of pupils.

· Assess and make recommendations for referrals that are received requesting therapeutic input for specific pupils.

· Liaise with other therapy staff.

· Work closely with and take referrals from the Executive Principal.

· Complete the therapy reports as required and contribute to annual reviews as required.

· Keep a record of attendance and report on absence, occurrences or accidents.

· Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils receiving therapy.

· Ensure familiarity of pupil's background information and risk assessment and profile prior to therapy session.

· To provide staff experiential training if required.

To undertake this position successfully you will have:

· A full Rhythmical Massage Therapy Diploma

· Ideally an additional massage qualification recognised by the General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT) or equivalent or other recognised bodywork qualification

· Membership of CAHSC, CNHC or HCPC

· Knowledge of specialist education or Children with SEN.
