About the Role

We're on the lookout for a Content Marketing Specialist who's passionate about creating content that works. You'll help bring our clients' stories to life online—supporting their growth through thoughtful content strategies and hands-on creation.

You'll work closely with our team and directly with clients, crafting content that engages and performs. Whether it's building a strategy, diving into SEO research, or shaping messaging that connects, you'll play a key role in helping great brands grow.

What You'll Be Doing

Here's a flavour of what your day-to-day could include:

• Planning and creating content strategies, including optimisation and republishing
• Writing blogs, landing pages, product descriptions and more, for both B2B and B2C clients
• Proofreading and reviewing content with SEO performance in mind
• Researching topics and developing content calendars tailored to each client
• Building buyer personas to guide messaging and tone
• Digging into competitor and industry research
• Carrying out keyword research, question research and SERP analysis
• Applying best SEO practices to everything you write and publish
• Supporting wider content campaigns, including link building and email outreach
• Monitoring keyword rankings using tools like Moz and SEMrush
• Managing multiple client projects and keeping things running smoothly
• Supporting the Client Development Manager
• Collaborating with the wider Zelst team on strategy and delivery
• Helping prepare reports and presentation material—and sometimes presenting, too!

What We're Looking For

• A strong writer with excellent English and a creative, engaging style
• Confident communicator who's happy speaking with clients and working with a team
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
• Curious and proactive—you enjoy learning and trying new things
• Great attention to detail and comfortable working with data and tools
• Familiar with Google Analytics (bonus points for certification)
• Some knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript is a plus
• Experience in a digital marketing or content-focused role
• Comfortable and professional in an office environment—well-presented, polite, considerate, and respectful of others and shared spaces

• Location: Harrogate-based, with the possibility of hybrid working
• Salary:£25,000 - £27,000 per year (depending on experience)
• Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays (rising to 30 over time)
