Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team, our nursery is based in the heart of Hanover and has been established for 35 years.
This role is pivotal in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development through engaging activities. We feel our nursery is more than just an educational setting. it is an additional home where children, families and staff come together to create something very special within our community.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, must have been in a leadership role previously, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to effectively communicate with both children and parents.
Duties
- Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as nursery policies.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in managing children's behaviour positively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A drive to create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
