Education and Academic Services This new part time (0.6FTE) post is available from 19 May 2025 on a permanent basis. This is a campus based role, based at the St Luke's Campus.
Summary of the role The primary purpose of this role will be to provide high quality, customer-focused administrative support for Wellbeing Services, and to take the administrative lead on a specialist area within the Service.
Education and Academic Services In collaboration with the academic Colleges, the Education and Student Support (EAS) Directorate provides all of the key administration and education support activities that underpin the student experience from Freshers' Week to Graduation. Service divisions within EAS include Library and Culture Services, Student Employability and Academic Success, and Student Services. All teams within Student Services are asked to work collaboratively and innovatively as “one team” across wide-ranging but interdependent operational delivery remits. Excellent customer service relies on all areas working together to ensure an excellent staff and student experience. Student Services teams include Timetabling, Examinations, Student Records, the Student Information Desk (SID), Community Liaison, International Transition, Education Support (Hubs), Welfare and Wellbeing Services, and Graduation.
Wellbeing and Welfare Team This role is based within the University's Wellbeing and Welfare team. This team comprises of Psychological Therapies, Mental Health and Accessibility and is made up of approximately 120 colleagues including clinically qualified mental health practitioners, Wellbeing Consultants and a team of Professional Services administration staff, alongside the University-wide Welfare team for general student support in residences and in academic Colleges. Wellbeing Services complies with the standards set out in the Quality Assurance Framework for non-medical help (NMH) providers and support workers delivering Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs), We provide this through the English student support package (including DSAs administered by Student Finance England), and funded by the Department for Education (DfE).
