Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Mechanic to oversee our fleet of vehicles and provide on-site maintenance and repairs for all our stations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles, minimising downtime, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role combines the responsibilities of a Fleet Manager and a Mobile Mechanic to optimise our fleet's performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

· Optimise fleet operations for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

· Perform on-site maintenance and repair work on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialised equipment.

· Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, conduct inspections, and provide timely and effective repairs.

· Ensure all vehicles are in compliance with safety and emissions standards.

· Maintain a well-organized and stocked mobile repair unit to facilitate efficient repairs.

· Safely operate all tools and equipment necessary for mobile mechanic duties.

Management:

· Adhere to safety protocols and best practices.

· Provide guidance and training to junior members to enhance their technical skills.

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet fleet maintenance goals.

Procurement and Inventory:

· Procure and manage spare parts and equipment necessary for vehicle maintenance and repairs.

· Maintain an organized inventory and ensure that essential supplies are readily available.

Special Conditions:

The post holder must be prepared to travel to other company sites, to meet the requirements of the company for operational, training and business continuity purposes.

They must also have access their own tools. A company vehicle will be available along with a fuel card for business miles and usage.

Experience on Renault Masters is desired, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year (depending on experience)
